"Ukrainian Wartime Posters" is a charitable art project initiated by a group of volunteers and public activists in New York, USA, following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This project is a collaboration with the National Center "Ukrainian House" (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the NGO "Union of Contemporary Art Researchers" (Ukraine).
All posters in this exhibition both reflect and record events, war crimes, and false russian propaganda against Ukraine. The artworks were presented as part of a long-term art project at 19 open-air exhibitions in the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia during 2022-2023.
Some of the graphic works from the "Ukrainian Wartime Posters" exhibition are also featured in the book "Wartime Posters," which will be presented for the first time in Berlin during the exhibition opening at Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile on August 17th.
At ВОЛЯ [VOL.2] VOLIA - UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL on August 25th, you can join us for a special Poster Workshop as part of the "Ukrainian Wartime Posters" exhibition.
