ANTON LAPOV
Born in 1984 in Lugansk, Ukraine. Graduated from National Univesity “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (M.A. in prehistory and archaeology). Graduated from the New Art School (course “Media-art for practitioners”, Kyiv, 2013). Participant of 4th Moscow Curatorial Summer School (2015). Artist, independent curator and museologist. Coordinator of media-art collective Art-cluster R+N+D and organizer of events in field of experimental electronic music, media-art and museological research. During 2011-2015 worked in different historical Ukrainian museums as scientific assistant. Since 2015, together with Larion Lozovoy, curates and develops museological projects in context of multidisciplinary group “Critical Archiving Laboratory”. In addition to being involved in the sphere of artistic/curatorial production he also conducts research into the history of Ukrainian sound-art/electronic music and local artistic communities of Eastern Ukraine. Active participator of educational initiatives. Guest lecturer at Master Program “Curatorial studies” at National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Kyiv (course “Museum studies and archiving of art”). Lives and works between Kyiv, Kharkiv and Severodonetsk, Ukraine.
Resident of BIRUCHIY since 2013.
